It is now time to get our EXTRA EARS off the ground and running for the opportunity to once again serve our State in helping others find ways to continue building and growing their ensembles! The following form is to collect the names of those who will help us fill the gaps and become VOLUNTEER LISTENERS & COMMENTATORS!
The January 2024 Florida Bandmaster newsletter is now available, including minutes from the January General Membership meeting.
The new concert list is now available, including new additions approved by the board at the December 2023 board meeting.
Registration is now open for the adjudicator training workshops to be held in Tampa on January 10.
All-state and Honor Band results will be available on November 1 to directors of students who auditioned or were nominated. Login to MPA Online, go to the All-State event, and click Audition Results. Accepted students are highlighted in green. Full rosters are not also available on the FMEA website.

Held on the campus of Stetson University in DeLand, this event will include a banquet and two concerts to honor the Roll of Distinction inductee Dr. Shelby Chipman, and Hall of Fame inductees Chuck Fulton and Wayne Whitman.
We are now accepting entries for the 2023-2024 FBA Student Composition Contest. The application deadline has been extended to October 30
In addition to the Student Composition Contest, FBA also sponsors a Young Composers Competition open to any composer age 30 or younger.
Success in the music classroom can look many different ways and we should acknowledge and celebrate ALL forms of success. In an effort to support each other and band programs all over the state, this page will highlight good teaching and positive experiences for students in a variety of settings.
The Florida School Music Association now has a Sexual Misconduct Policy that all directors participating in an MPA should be aware of. Directors, please note: it is your responsibility to make sure all students are supervised by an adult at all MPA events at all times, including during their Solo & Ensemble performances.
