Due to Hurricane Irma, the Honor Band Nomination deadline has been extended to Sept. 29. Your district chair will notify you if there are any changes to your all-state audition dates.
The FBA Concert Music Committee is now accepting submissions for consideration to be added to the FBA Concert Music List for the 2017-2018 school year, and the Solo & Ensemble music committee is accepting requests for special permission to play a piece that is not on the list. The window to submit concert selections closes October 14th, and the deadline for Solo & Ensemble special permission is December 1.

Registration for the Summer 2017 Adjudication Certification and Re-Certification workshops are now available on the Adjudication Information page. Workshops will be held in conjunction with the FBA Summer Conference at the Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront. You must pre-register and pay online no later than July 14.
The Nine-Star High School Honor Band is an honor band comprised of students that will have completed the ninth grade at the end of the 2016-2017 school year. They will rehearse and perform at the FBA Summer Convention. Each director can nominate up to 5 students. Nominations are now open
The FSU College of Music, in partnership with the Hobbs family, is pleased to announce the establishment of the Oliver P. and Beryl M. Hobbs Music Education Scholarship Fund, celebrating Mr. Hobbs' legacy as Band Director at FSU's Summer Music Camps and Leon High School.
FMEA is looking for nominations of those well deserving individuals who have contributed to the quality of music education in the state of Florida. All nominations except Music Enrollment and Music Education Service are due September 5, 2017.
